
Making your own pesto is fast and flavoursome.
Not only will you benefit from the nutrition of your fresh, unadulterated ingredients, but by including Seaweed you'll be able to significantly cut down the salt content so prevalent in ready-made versions.
INGREDIENTS (serves 2)
- 5 g (2 heaped tsp) Seaspoon Seaweed Boost
- 25g toasted pine nuts
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 30g pecorino or parmesan cheese, finely grated
- A squeeze of Lemon juice
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- A handful of fresh basil
- Black pepper
METHOD
- Put all ingredients in Food processor and blend until smooth.
- Serve stirred into pasta with drizzle of olive oil, some more grated cheese and a few fresh basil leaves.
